FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. – The Board of Commissioners will discuss the need for emergency repairs to the Daves Creek culvert when they meet in a work session at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the commissioners meeting room, 110 East Main Street in Cumming.

Staff is expected to recommend awarding the bid to G.P.’s Enterprises, Inc in the amount of $195,935 on a time sensitive basis.

Other items to be considered include:

• Presentation by Mauldin & Jenkins regarding the 2020 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report;
• Approval of a Budget Resolution regarding the transfer of available funds from the General Fund to the Capital Outlay Fund as authorized by the Board of Commissioners’ Resolution with approval of an additional one-time transfer based on the General Fund’s Unassigned Fund Balance in the December 31, 2020 Annual Comprehensive Financial Report;
• Approval of a Budget Resolution for the final Budget Amendment to close the 2020 Fiscal Year;
• Approval of a Budget Resolution regarding an Administrative Order to Request Judicial Assistance and Order Appointing a Senior Judge for Probate Court;
• Approval to declare the list of items as surplus with authorization for the Department of Procurement to dispose of accordingly;
• Authorization for the firm MR Systems to upgrade the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system (SCADA) at the Shakerag Wastewater Treatment Facility for the Department of Water and Sewer; Water and Sewer Budget. Staff Recommendation: approve the SCADA upgrade with MR Systems and the purchase of various computer components from Dell in the total amount of $165,642.68;
• Direction regarding the revocation of the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for CP180012, TowerCom V, LLC. In accordance with UDC 8-5.5(I), if an application for a Land Disturbance Permit has not been submitted within 18 months of approval, the Board may consider revocation of the CUP;
• Approval of a Board generated rezoning for ZA3897, Wendal Miller. In accordance with UDC 8-5.5(I), if an application for a Land Disturbance Permit has not been submitted within 18 months of zoning approval, the Board may consider rezoning to a constitutional zoning designation;
• Direction regarding amendments to the Unified Development Code related to A1 sheds within Chapters 3, 15, and 16;
• Board discussion and possible direction regarding modifications to the Comprehensive Plan’s Community Character Map and Height Performance Standards within the Unified Development Code;
• Direction regarding amendments to the Unified Development Code related to Elimination of a Site Development Permit Requirement for New Buildings on Existing Slabs;
• Approval of a .103-acre power utility construction, maintenance, repair, and access easement over property belonging to Forsyth County, otherwise known as Fire Station No. 9;
• A resolution that will vest in the Director of Building and Economic Development limited discretion to authorize certain construction activities (concrete pours) outside of normal UDC hours while the UDC is otherwise being modified;
• Approval of the Accountability Court Defender Agreement;
• A First Amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding with Seefried Industrial Properties, Inc., regarding CP200016 the construction of a roundabout at Shiloh Road and Shiloh Road East;
• A Conservation Easement regarding Cooper Place Subdivision;
• An Agreement Concerning Environmental Campus Drive between MKW Capital, LLC, JOJO Capital, LLC, the City of Cumming, and Forsyth County, which Agreement includes the potential swap of real property owned by MKW Capital, LLC, and JOJO Capital, LLC, with real property owned by Forsyth County;
• A 90-Day Extension to the Rus-Al (USA), Inc. Memorandum of Understanding with Forsyth County for business relocation.
