Another successful Georgia Police and Fire Games concludes

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — First responders from all across the state of Georgia participated in the 2022 Police and Fire Games that wrapped up on Saturday. Forsyth County was well represented.
Brandon Moore of the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) won the Toughest Competitor award in the male under 200 pounds category. Alex McCain (FCSO) took first place in the powerlifting competition in the 275-pound class.
Robert Avedisian (FCSO) and his K-9 Kimber posted a third-place finish in the K-9 Detection class.

Forsyth County deputies excel at Georgia Police and Fire Games

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office team showed out at the Georgia Police and Fire Games at Gainesville High School Tuesday winning the three-on-three basketball championship before taking first and third in the sniper shooting competition at Gainesville High School his week.
Members of the basketball team included Lt. Rob Heagerty, Cpl. Enrique Escolano, DFC Zach Knapp, DFC Michael Click, and DFC Stephen Walkowiak.
Forsyth deputies defeated defending champions Georgia Tech Police Department in the semifinals before beating the Milledgeville Fire Department in the championship game.
Forsyth County’s Matt Hester took home the first-place medal in the sniper shooting contest and teammate Brian Chatham collected the bronze medal for his third-place finish in the sniper competition
The competition brings together first responders from all across the state for friendly competition.
