PRESS RELEASE
During their Jan. 21 meeting, the Board of Commissioners recognized high school students from across the county as the first members of the Forsyth County Student Government Academy.
The Student Government Academy provides talented students the opportunity to learn about the inner workings of the Forsyth County Government through meetings with the Board of Commissioners, County officials and site visits to various County departments. The inaugural class includes high school juniors from each of the County’s high schools who have been hand-selected by their principals.
The students observed the Jan. 21 meeting to gain a better understanding of how County policies are made.
Forsyth County is pleased to have the best and brightest students, not only in this program but as a whole, to represent the County.
