Board will recognize 25-year employees during Thursday’s meeting

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. – County Commissioners will have several important presentations to make when they meet Thursday. The first will go to Omkar Tamhane for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. The others presentations will go to county employees who have reached 25 years of service during 2020.

The Board will also hold public hearings and a possible vote regarding:

  • The request by Akshaykumar Patel for an Alcohol License to sell malt beverages (beer), wine, and distilled spirits by the package on the premises for Golden Liquor LLC dba Blue Glass Liquor and Wine located at 6015 Post Road, Suite C;
  • A Settlement Agreement between Alex C. Kliros, et. seq, v. Tom Brown, et. seq. 19CV1553-2, a civil action pending in the Forsyth County Superior Court, that will settle claims between the parties and otherwise impose zoning and land use-based entitlements, variances, restrictions, and other obligations on the parties and on 90.37 acres located near State Route 141 and South Clement Road;
  • The County-Initiated variance request to reduce the Georgia Highway 400 undisturbed buffer from 40 ft. to 0 ft. – Parcel 063-057 – VA210005 – District 3;
  • The request for an Amendment of Zoning Conditions on ZA3079 (Ackerman & Company) by Rockhaven Homes, LLC – Parcels 002-008 and 003-003 – AZ210028 – District 4;
  • An Alternate Design for Jones Bridge Road Associates, LLC – Parcel 200-235 – AD210003 – District 5;
  • The request for an Amendment of Zoning Conditions on ZA2147 (Atlantic Gulf Communities Corporation) by Barbara Roeber and variances to UDC Table 11.2(a) – Parcel 203-227 – AZ210031 – District 5;
  • The request for an Amendment of Zoning Conditions on ZA2653 (Westbrook Windermere, LLC) by Robert and Jennifer Guano and a variance to UDC Table 11.2(a) – Parcel 203-273 – AZ210032 – District 5;
  • Amendments to Chapters 3 and 18 related to Undisturbed Areas of Separation within the Unified Development Code of Forsyth County;
  • Amendments to Chapter 5 related to Zoning Action within the Unified Development Code of Forsyth County;
  • Amendments to Chapters 3 and 18 related to Open Space and Low-Impact Stormwater Design Incentives within the Unified Development Code of Forsyth County;
  • Amendments to Chapter 8 related to Administrative Variances within the Unified Development Code of Forsyth County;
  • Amendments to Chapter 11 related to Design Applicability within the Unified Development Code of Forsyth County;
  • Amendments to Chapter 11 related to Exterior Buffer Requirements within the Unified Development Code of Forsyth County.

Under New Business will consider a resolution regarding the Defined Benefit Plan Administrative Committee.
