Cox, Tressler meet in District 28 showdown

Featured Stories

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — One of the key local races to be decided Tuesday will be in north Forsyth County’s  new State House District 28 where Brent Cox will face Julie Tressler.

Tressler is a longtime conservative who once served as President of the Women’s Republican Party in Forsyth County. Cox is a newcomer to politics who made a strong showing at the Republican Party Town Hall last week.

Tressler missed the Town Hall as a result of a concussion she suffered in a fall at her home. That could prove difficult for her to overcome since she lost to Cox by about 1,000 votes in the general primary and barely made the runoff.

Brent Cox

Cox is a former football coach, teacher, and successful businessman who designed, engineered, and sold ventilation hood systems to the food service industry globally.

Trump endorses Burt Jones for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia

Election, Politics, Press Release

JACKSON – Today, September 2, 2021, President Donald J. Trump endorsed conservative candidate Burt Jones for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia.

Both Trump and Jones have shared and forwarded the endorsement to numerous media outlets. Jones’ campaign also attached a statement saying, “In 2016 and 2020, Burt served as President Trump’s campaign co-chair in Georgia, and he was the first elected official in Georgia to endorse the President. As President Trump’s endorsement proves, Burt is the only candidate in the race for Lieutenant Governor who will safeguard and advance the America First agenda, fight for election integrity, and deliver results for hardworking Georgians.”

JonesTrump’s endorsement stated: “State Senator Burt Jones is a Conservative warrior running for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia. No on has fought harder for Election Integrity than Burt, and no state needs it more. A businessman and Patriot, Burt will always stand for America First, and will help bring back Energy Independence, a Stronger Border, Low Taxes, Great Education, and Safe Cities. He will also get to the bottom of the Nov. 3 Presidential Election Scam. Burt Jones has my Complete and Total Endorsement. He will not let the great people of Georgia down!”

In an email statement today, Burt Jones responded by saying, “I am honored and humbled to receive the endorsement of President Donald J. Trump in my campaign for Lieutenant Governor of Georgia. I am the only person in my race who has had the President’s back from day one, and it’s an honor to have his full support. As Lieutenant Governor, I will work to advance the President’s America First agenda and continue to grow our economy, improve our schools, secure our elections, and keep Georgia safe. I look forward to traveling the state and meeting with the good people of Georgia as we work toward a big win in November 2022.”

Don’t Vote and harass Kemp: Pro-Trump attorney instructs Georgia voters

Lin Wood

ALPHARETTA, Ga: L. Lin Wood didn’t heed the calls from the Secretary of State’s Office to stop the rhetoric during today’s “Stop the Steal” press conference/rally with attorney Sydney Powell.

Stalking the stage like a Southern Baptist preacher who caught the spirit, Wood said, “We will not allow ourselves to go back into the polling booth.”

Wood denounced Governor Brian Kemp (R), Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R), Lt. Governor Geoff Duncan (R), and Voter Implementation Manager Gabriel Sterling for their actions following the November 3 election. On December 2, Sterling declared, “It has to stop,” blasting President Trump, Senators David Perdue, and Kelly Loeffler for not condemning incendiary and violent language.

Following the Wood/Powell press conference, Sterling pointed out the Wood has a Democrat voting record since 2004. “We encourage all voters to vote in an election. Democrat, Republican, Green, Socialist, Libertarian,” he added.

Wood’s fiery preaching took aim at almost every prominent Republican in Georgia, including Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler. He urged Perdue and Loeffler to demand a special session of the Georgia General Assembly.

“They have not earned your vote,” Wood said. “Don’t you give it to them. Why would you go back and vote in another rigged election for god’s sake! Fix it! You gotta fix it!”

Lin Wood urged the crowd to not vote in January.

The January 5 runoffs will decide who controls the Senate.

Powell advised all Georgians not to vote until they knew their votes were secure, suggesting a return to paper ballots and voter IDs. The only speaker telling people to vote was Democrat Georgia House Representative Vernon Jones, who endorsed David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.

BKP polled attendees, and out of 30 people, 75 percent saw no reason to vote in the January 5 runoff election. President Trump is visiting the state on Saturday to campaign for the Senators and hopefully subvert a depressed turnout in January.

Continuing with his calls for a special session, Woods instructed the raucous crowd to circle the governor’s mansion and honk their horns until Kemp gave in to their pleas. Afterward, he suggested that Kemp resign.

“Lock him up” chants rang out for Kemp, started by Wood. Later, he accused Kemp and Raffensperger of taking money from China without offering any proof.

The rally antics weren’t what the crowd came to see. BKP from BKP Politics attended the rally and spoke with several attendees. 75 percent surveyed expected a more informative presentation and not a miniature Trump rally. The remaining 25 percent expected the show they witnessed.

A more subdued Sydney Powell called the audience “the heart and soul and spirit that make this country the exceptional place that it is.” She reminded that all elected officials work for the people.

Sydney Powell

Alleging widespread voter fraud, Powell extended the conspiracy from Dominion Voting Machines to practically every system. An individual explained to Powell that the fraud permeated the software’s “DNA,” so “all are at risk of being manipulated.” She believed the algorithm flipped votes across the country. Powell promised to turn all their evidence over to the Department of Justice.

Sterling countered these claims in his afternoon press conference.

“We did a hand audit. Human beings did. No machines were used. In fact, somebody asked Lin Wood and Sydney Powell, the hand audit said this, how could the algorithm thing of worked? They said no-no it wasn’t the hand audit they used machines to count those. They lied to the people who are believing them’s face. It’s this kind of lying and this kind of rhetoric that is continuing to inflame passions on the ground unnecessarily, and it’s wrong. ” Sterling stated.

Earlier this week, a judge scheduled a hearing for Friday. The first case is in appeals after being thrown out.

Georgia recounts continue to affirm President-elect Joe Biden’s win of the state. The race will be certified after the final recount is completed.

Vernon Jones speaks on Trump Rally and crowdsurfing

Featured Stories
Jones

Fresh off his weekend and an event where he “crowd-surfed” to a young man in a wheelchair because he wanted a picture, Georgia State Representative, Vernon Jones (D) says, “Let me be clear about one thing. I’m committed to this President. I believe in this President. I took a leap of faith and I believed in that crowd and that crowd caught me.”

This was not Jones’ first event in support of President Donald Trump either. He is campaigning for the President in the current elections saying that he is a life-long Democrat, but he would not vote for Joe Biden.

Comparing the two, Jones said that Biden has destroyed black men and women through mass incarceration. He has a record of doing nothing whereas Trump has produced results like the First Step Act restoring families.

Focusing on business and the economy, Jones listed several things as accomplishments in Trump’s Presidency like correcting trade agreements to a fair agreement for America, grew the economy evidenced by businesses expanding and job growth, increased pay for those in military service, and supported historical black college funding.

Jones said, “He has done more in the past 47 months than Joe Biden has done in the past 47 years.”

He added that people are being shamed for supporting Trump by the media and others as they are being portrayed as racists and bigots. But these people are just people. People who don’t care what color you are, people who just love their country.

Many Democrats are turning in support of the President and for himself, according to Jones, because they see the craziness in their own party, the anger in their own party, and the violence in their own party.

Jones referenced the incident over the weekend of a Trump supporter who was attacked and lost two teeth in the beating he took. He said this is the game that these liberals are playing. They are trying to incite fear through violence, fear through the pandemic, and  fear through the media.

In full support of Trump, he said in an interview that the President is the best hope in support of our first and second amendment rights. He later added that voting for Biden isn’t even a vote for Biden as president. “He wouldn’t be the president, it would be Kamala Harris,” he said.

He added that she would be even scarier.

Georgia State Representative, Vernon Jones (D)

Going down the ballot from Trump, Jones also showed his support for Doug Collins and the work he has already done for Georgia as a Representative for the 9th Congressional District. While he didn’t specifically comment on Loeffler, he did say that Warnock was the wrong choice saying, “… it’s a vote for our civil liberties to be lost. It’s a vote for illegal immigration. It’s a vote for taking away the tax cut. He is dangerous.”

However, he didn’t stay long with this race and returned again to the Presidential Election and its importance as he said he was going to continue supporting and campaigning for Trump through his birthday even, October 31. He said that despite the polls, he wants Georgia to be all for the president in his re-election. Especially since the opposition has the major media supporting and propping up Biden’s campaign.

Jones pointed to the media and incidents with Biden meeting with Russian officials. He asks why none of them are asking Biden about it and why he or anyone in his campaign wouldn’t denounce the allegations or answer the questions.

With more events coming and debates on the way, Jones said he is looking to continue campaigning hard as he stands behind his words and endorsements.

It was a common theme during his statements. Constantly focused on the election, on Trump, and on the future of America. Many other stories are focused on his crowd surfing and the meaning or consequences of that day.

Jones stated in the video, “Show me the next crowd. I’ll do the same thing.”

Will Wade Announces Plan To Cut Taxes on Vets, Increase Access to Jobs

Wade’s plan will eliminate retirement taxes and recognize military training credentials for EMTs, paramedics, other medical professions

(Dawsonville, GA) Will Wade, Republican candidate for State House, announced a plan today to
completely eliminate retirement taxes on veterans and allow military training credentials to be
applied to some essential medical professions.

Currently, 30 states have no taxes on military retirement benefits. Georgia is one of 13 states
with special provisions or other considerations for taxes on retirement pay. Wade’s plan would
completely eliminate these special provisions, giving Georgia veterans a clearer financial future.
“It’s time for Georgia to step up to the plate and get this done. The impact on our state budget
will be minimal. In the long run I believe this would help attract more veterans to our state be an
economic driver for our economy. We are lucky to have so many active duty military members
here already, let’s make sure they want to stay once their service has concluded,” Wade stated.

Wade’s second proposal comes as a response to nationwide shortages of doctors, nurses, and first
responders during the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, members of the military who have
received special training as combat medics, paramedics, and other medical professionals are
required to be retrained in order to work in those same professions in Georgia. Wade’s plan
would make sure that training is applied appropriately once their military service has concluded.

Wade said, “If you can perform as a combat medic under fire, there’s no reason you can’t
perform as a paramedic or EMT in Dawsonville or Dahlonega. Let’s make it as easy as possible
for our military members to transition from their military career to a successful career as a
civilian. This is just common sense.”

Wade is currently running to replace Rep. Kevin Tanner for State House District 9 in a runoff
election against local trial lawyer Steve Leibel. The primary election will be held August 11th.
