FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — On Monday, Sept. 19, the Forsyth County Sheriff’s office Traffic Specialist Unit executed a search warrant on the Freightliner tractor trailer driven by Charles Wilkins that killed James Wright of Cumming in a multi-vehicle crash on Ga. 400.
As a result of the search, additional warrants were obtained and executed. The additional charges against Charles Wilkins include Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Related Objects and Open Container of Alcohol.
Wilkins was originally charged with Homicide by Vehicle 1st Degree, Reckless Driving, Too Fast for Conditions and Following Too Close. He is being held on no bond.
He is being held in the Forsyth County Jail without bail.
