FCSO Participated in Northeast Traffic Enforcement Network Meeting

At the end of August, members of the FCSO Traffic Enforcement Unit participated in the Northeast Traffic Enforcement Network meeting, which was held at the Dillard House. This meeting is a chance for law enforcement officers to network and discuss traffic safety and the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety initiatives, as well as coordinate efforts to reduce traffic related fatalities due to speed, alcohol, and distracted drivers.
Approximately 150 law enforcement officers from various agencies throughout Northeast Georgia and North Carolina/South Carolina attended. As this meeting was taking place last year, Deputy Courtney Zajdowics of Rabun County Sheriff’s Office lost her life to a drunk driver.
