FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — With less than 90 days remaining before the November election, the Forsyth County Board of Elections and Registration spent much of Monday’s meeting discussing a list of challenged voters and their eligibility to vote.

In February, Lori Wexler submitted a list of challenges under O.C.G.A. 21-2-230 and supporting evidence to Superintendent Mandi Smith.

The Board voted unanimously to hear the Wexler-challenged voters on Sept. 6 at 9 a.m.

Vice Chairman Joel Natt noted that the challenge does not affect voters ability to vote in federal elections, only state and county races. Natt’s motion to enter into the minutes, the names and supporting evidence of the 393 challenged voters.

The Board voted 4-1 to uphold the challenges to Emery Eichler, Steven Glinski, and Bradley Valandingham but dismissed the challenge to Sujaya James, Susanmani James, Jesua Garcia, Valerie Acquaila, Melanie Langton, and William Snyder.

The Board also voted 3-2 with Dan Tucker and Anita Tucker opposed, to locate the county’s lone drop box at the Voter and Registration Office, Sawnee Drive in Cumming.
