Commissioners will discuss tentative FY 2022 millage rate at today’s work session

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Tentative adoption of the Fiscal Year 2022 millage rates will be among the items considered when the Board of Commissioners meets in a work session today at 2 pm in the County Administration Building, 110 East Main Street in Cumming.
Other items to be considered include:
- The continued use of remote viewing/participation options (i.e., Zoom) at Board of Commissioners, Planning Commission Zoning Board of Appeals and other County affiliated entity meetings;
- Potential renegotiation of Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) negotiations with the City of Cumming, and authority to send the notice to the City of Cumming;
- A County-Initiated applications onParcels 112-004 and 112-008 for the proposed Winner’s Circle Project;
- A Conditional Use Permit (CUP) on Parcels 107-018 and 107-027 for operation of a hotel with around the clock business;
- Authorization to renew the 2022-2023 annual Insurance Coverage with ACCG-IRMA in the amount of $1,087,690; policy effective July 1, 2022 through July 1, 2023
- The Public Transportation Agency Safety Plan with authorization to submit to the Atlanta Transit Link;
- Approval of the Sub-Grant Agreement between the Atlanta Transit Link and Forsyth County for access to Federal Transportation Administration 5307 grant funds in an amount not to exceed $645,000 for calendar year 2022 with approval of a Budget Resolution;
- The list of items as surplus with authA t to dispose of accordingly;
- Approval to award Bid 22-28-3300 for Easement Clearing to Atlanta Premier Tree Solutions and Casey Tree Experts in the not to exceed amount of $200,000;
- A Special Services Agreement with JAL Ice Vending LLC to sell ice and water at Shady Grove Campground;
- Approval of the Department of Community Affairs Annual Report of Local Government Finances (RLGF).;
- (10) Board consideration and approval with authorization for the Chair to sign the
Certification of 2021 911 Expenditures. Staff requests this Item be considered on a
“Time Sensitive” basis – Chief Financial Officer
(11) Board consideration and approval for the Chair to sign a Letter to the Emergency
Rental Assistance Program from the U.S. department of Treasury. Staff requests this
Item be considered on a “Time Sensitive” basis – Chief Financial Officer - A County-Initiated Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for a telecommunication tower, Parcel 025-003;
- Parking Surface Requirements;
- A resolution authorizing the use/acceptance of electronic signatures and otherwise authorizing staff to implement policies implementing same
(O.C.G.A. 10-12-18)[ - Approval of a Quitclaim Deed of Partial Release for the purpose of abandoning a portion of a Sewer Easement near Majors Road that is no longer needed;
- A Conflict Waiver authorizing J&D to work on behalf of Alpharetta and Forsyth County regarding McGinnis Ferry condemnations and road-widening project;
- A resolution authorizing the use of change order to allow the resurfacing of Sharon Springs Field #10, and declaring the circumstances for such change order as an emergency to facilitate the provision of an essential government service.
