Tressler will campaign for State House 28; Calls for end of state income tax

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. – Julie Tressler, a proven conservative and successful businesswoman announced last week that she will campaign to become the first state representative elected in the new House District 28.

Tressler said her education, work experience and community service have prepared her for the role. A proponent of limited government, Tressler said,  “I believe that government serves best when it empowers individuals to make decisions at the local level.”

She is a past president of the Women’s Republican Party of Forsyth County and State Director of the Georgia Association of REALTORS and a long-time member of that organization’s governmental affairs committee. “I have a deep understanding of the legislative process and the impact state government policy has on the local community.”

If elected, she plans to focus on issues like restoring fiscal sanity to state government, protecting Georgians’ constitutional right to keep and bear arms, voter integrity, supporting law enforcement and protecting students from the indoctrination of hateful ideologies like critical race theory.

With regard to restoring fiscal sanity to state government, Julie says, “The most competitive states in the nation have already eliminated the state income tax. Its time Georgia did the same.”

On Georgians’ constitutional freedoms she said she will oppose all infringements on our constitutional right to keep and bear arms and red flag laws and she will advance legislation that prevents the state’s resources from being used for federal gun control efforts.

On education, Julie believes education works best when it is enacted by people closest to the child – parents and locally elected school boards, not bureaucrats in Atlanta and Washington. She will stand strong against attempts to indoctrinate students in hateful ideologies like critical race theory.

On voter integrity she says voters must be required to present an ID to vote and must be U.S citizens.

On support for law enforcement, she is committed to ensuring law enforcement officers have all the training, equipment and funding needed to keep our families and community safe.

“I look forward to earning the support of the people in District 28 and effectively representing them, and their values, at the Capitol,” Tressler recently told a group as she kicked off the campaign.
