CUMMING, Ga. — The Cumming Police Department announced today via a Facebook post that a Cumming woman and her daughter who were allegedly kidnapped by the woman’s ex-husband have been found safe in Mexico.
“I am very happy to announce that Esperanza Parada-Olivas and Rachel Zecena have been safely located in Mexico and are now back in the US with law enforcement officials,” the Facebook post stated.
The woman’s ex-husband Alexis R. Zecena-Lopez, 55, has been arrested in connection with their kidnapping and is currently awaiting extradition. This is still an ongoing investigation and we will only release limited details but I am very thankful to the US Marshals and FBI for all the hard work they put into helping track down Esperanza and Rachel and bringing them home safely.”
