CUMMING, Ga. – A national search for Balvanera Esperanza Parada-Olivas and her daughter, Rachel Zecena, age 6, believed to have been taken against their will by the child’s father, 55-year-old Alexis R. Zecena-Lopez, continued Tuesday evening and Cumming Police Chief David Marsh fears mother and child are in serious danger.

Rachel Zecena

“The fact that no one can get hold of her and she hasn’t responded to anybody, coupled with the violence of her ex-husband is really a cause for concern,” Marsh said Tuesday evening.

Cumming Police responded to a call from  Parada-Olivas’ boyfriend who said she went to her ex-husband’s home to pick up their daughter and never returned.

A police investigation revealed that Alexis Lopez had been arrested after he allegedly kidnapped and raped his ex-wife at gunpoint but was released on bond and ordered to wear an ankle monitor. Police learned Monday that he had removed the monitor and when they went to arrest him, they were nowhere in sight.
