PRESS RELEASE
Cumming, GA– Longtime Forsyth County resident, homeowner and businessman Justin Hawkins has officially announced his candidacy for House District 28.
Active in the district and business community, Hawkins already has more than $100,000 cash on hand and pledges to use his business experience and deep roots in the community to deliver conservative results for North Forsyth and Hall Counties.
“Now is not the time to back down. We need to stand up and fight back against the radical leftist movement, led by Stacey Abrams, and protect the gains Georgia has made under conservative leadership,” said Hawkins. “For Georgia to lead in the 21st century, we need leaders who will empower our businesses, parents, and taxpayers – not the government. We need to protect our elections, eliminate the state income tax to compete with our neighboring states, better educate our kids, not indoctrinate them, and stand with law enforcement – not blame them.”
A product of Forsyth County schools, Justin has resided in the county for more than 21 years. Raised by a single mother and the oldest of five children, Justin worked hard and stretched every dollar to earn a degree from Kennesaw State University. After graduating from college, Justin began a successful business career, where he has founded four companies in Forsyth County. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of a Forsyth-based software startup.
Active in the community, Justin currently serves on the Forsyth County Development Authority, a member of the Lanier-Forsyth Rotary Club as well as the South Forsyth Alumni Association. He has also worked in the trenches to help elect conservative, pro-Trump Republicans to office as the former Chairman of the Forsyth County Republican Party.
Justin and his wife Sarah, a Registered Nurse at Northside Hospital, reside in Cumming with their lovable Dalmatian, Sammy.
