It’s that time of year for scams

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office issued a scam alert over the weekend,

A facebook post indicated several citizens have received calls from someone claiming to be a deputy demanding money for missing jury duty. The caller instructed the person receiving the call to place the money in a drop box at the jail.

The post also states the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office FCSO will call and demand money. If you receive a call like this, write down the name used, phone number and any other details and hang up. Report the incident to law enforcement.
