FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Forsyth County Government has launched an exciting new video series entitled “On the Move,” available on the county’s Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ForsythCountyGovernment.
The series aims to keep citizens up do date on the major road, park and building construction projects going on in the county. It is well written, well produced and highly informative.
“On the Move” is produced by the Forsyth County Department of Communications.
The initial installment features an interview with Capital Projects Director John Jefferson and his insight into the progress of one of the largest transportation projects in county history, the widening of SR 369 and the SR 369 and SR 400 interchange.
Jefferson said, “The largest part of the project is we are changing the crossing at SR369 AND SR 400 to a grade-separated interchange. We’re going to build a bridge for 369 to go over Ga. 400. That will mean the traffic northbound and southbound on Ga. 400 will be able to continue without having to stop at a red light. That will greatly improve traffic flow.”
Traffic studies have shown that 80,000 cars pass through that intersection daily.
The multi-million dollar project is joint effort between the county and Georgia Department of Transportation.
