FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. – The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners will hold its Regular Meeting / Public Hearings on Thursday, June 17, at 5 p.m. in the Forsyth County Administration Building located at 110 East Main Street, Cumming.
The public may physically attend this meeting, but – due to COVID19 concerns remote viewing and participation is encouraged.
Public hearings include:
- A request for an Alcohol License to sell malt beverages (beer), wine, and distilled spirits for consumption on the premises for Pies on Post LLC located at 3310 Drew Campground Road, Suite D;
- A request for an Alcohol License to sell distilled spirits for consumption on the premises for Smokey Q Catering Co. LLC dba Smokey Q located at 1850 Bald Ridge Marina Road. – Named Licensee is William Connor;
- A request for an Alcohol License to sell malt beverages (beer), wine, and distilled spirits for consumption on the premises for SL Food Service LLC dba Dokebi located at 7754 McGinnis Ferry Road – Named Licensee is Seung Lee;
- A request for an Alcohol License to sell malt (beer), wine, and distilled spirits by the package on the premises for JB Fine Wine & Spirit, Inc. located at 5166 McGinnis Ferry Road – Named Licensee is Miguel Bernardo;
- A request for an Alcohol License to sell malt beverages (beer), wine, and distilled spirits by the package on the premises for Amin Industries LLC dba Goodlife Liquor located at 6075 Post Road, Suite 100 – Named Licensee Parth Amin;
- A request for an Alcohol License to sell distilled spirits for consumption on the premises for 242 Restaurant LLC dba Sip N Chew Delightful Eats located at 5905 Atlanta Highway, Suite 104 – Named Licensee is Paulette Winfield;
- Amendments to the Alcohol Ordinance, otherwise known as Forsyth County Ordinance 68, to provide relevant definitions, modifications pertaining to administrative approval procedures, conditional license approval procedures and to repeal conflicting Ordinances;
- County-Initiated Conditional Use Permit to operate an open storage yard with 14 parking spaces with existing buildings totaling 4,188 sq. ft. on 5.473 acres currently zoned Commercial Business District (CBD)
- County-Initiated Conditional Use Permits to operate an open storage yard and climate controlled self-service storage facility currently zoned Commercial Business District (CBD) and variances to the UDC, Section 12-10.15, Table 12.2, Section 18-5.18;
- County-Initiated request to rezone from Agricultural District (A1) to Single Family Residential District (RES2)
- The request for an Amendment of Zoning Conditions on ZA2147 (Atlantic Gulf Communities Corporation) by Jayashree Madderla and a variance to UDC Table 11.2(a);
Adoption of Ordinance 129, also known as the Short-Term Rental Ordinance to regulate properties otherwise authorized for short-term rental, to include appointment of a registered agent; to impose certain requirements and restrictions regarding the use of properties for short-term rental; to establish an annual licensing system and a fee for same; to provide for enforcement and penalties for violations; to repeal conflicting ordinances; and for other purposes;
Under New Business the Board will consider the following Conditional Use Permit (CUP) and Rezoning Requests:
- Home Depot U.S.A., Inc. – CP210004 – to operate a vehicle rental establishment and an open air business with 22 parking spaces associated with a large-scale retail establishment on 10.896 acres currently zoned Commercial Business District (CBD);
- Ben D. Trail – ZA3991 – to rezone from Agricultural District (A1) to Single Family Residential District (RES2) on 2.458 acres for 3 residential lots with a density of 1.22 units per acre;
- The Gathering Tree Wellness Center, Inc. – ZA4003 – to rezone from Commercial Business District (CBD) and Single Family Residential Restricted District (R2R) to Commercial Business District (CBD) on 2 acres for a personal service establishment in a 3,990 sq. ft. existing building with 14 parking spaces with a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for a massage parlor;
- (2) Board consideration of Utility Easement Abandonment Policy – Director, Department of Water and Sewer / County Attorney
The Board will also hold and Administrative Hearing in reference to a violation of the Alcohol Ordinance for Priya Impex, Inc. dba Priya Food Mart.
