FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. – The Board of Commissioners will hold a regular meeting and two public hearings Thursday (Jan. 21) at 5 p.m.in the County Administration Building 110 East Main Street.

The Board will begin the meeting with a proclamation declaring Jan. 24 through Jan. 30, 2021 School Choice Week in Forsyth County to be followed by a presentation by new County Manager Kevin Tanner
There are two public hearings scheduled. The first is to hear the request by United Food and Gas Cumming for an alcohol license to sell malt beverages (beer) and wine by the package on the premises at 1739 Buford Hwy.
The second is in regards to the County-Initiated variance request to eliminate the 5,000 ft. sewer distance requirement to facilitate the use of an on-site septic disposal system.

The appointment of Commission Chairwoman Cindy Jones Mill as a delegate to the Regional Commission is the only New Business item on the agenda.
