Hazardous Weather Outlook in effect

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. — The National Weather Service at Peachtree City issued the following Hazardous Weather Outlook for portions of North and Central Georgia Monday Nov. 30, including:

Baldwin-Banks-Barrow-Bartow-Bibb-Bleckley-Butts-Carroll-Catoosa-Chattahoochee-Chattooga-Cherokee-Clarke-Clayton-Cobb-Coweta-Crawford-Crisp-Dade-Dawson-DeKalb-Dodge-Dooly-Douglas-Emanuel-Fannin-Fayette-Floyd-Forsyth-Gilmer-Glascock-Gordon-Greene-Gwinnett-Hall-Hancock-Haralson-Harris-Heard-Henry-Houston-Jackson-Jasper-Jefferson-Johnson-Jones-Lamar-Laurens-Lumpkin-Macon-Madison-Marion-Meriwether-Monroe-Montgomery-Morgan-Murray-Muscogee-Newton-North Fulton-Oconee-Oglethorpe-Paulding-Peach-Pickens-Pike-Polk-Pulaski-Putnam-Rockdale-Schley-South Fulton-Spalding-Stewart-Sumter-Talbot-Taliaferro-Taylor-Telfair-Toombs-Towns-Treutlen-Troup-Twiggs-Union-Upson-Walker-Walton-Warren-Washington-Webster-Wheeler-White-Whitfield-Wilcox-Wilkes-Wilkinson.

Winds are increasing across north and central Georgia and breezy conditions will continue through the early afternoon hours. West to northwest winds between 15 and 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph can be expected this morning and early afternoon.

Light snow will also be possible across far north Georgia this afternoon and into tonight. This snow event could produce light accumulations less than 1 inch. This could lead to some hazardous driving conditions, especially in elevations above 2000 feet.

Breezy winds Monday night and Tuesday morning will also drop wind chill values to the teens and lower 20s. Starting Tuesday and continuing through Sunday, there is a small chance for some snow mixed with rain Friday night into Saturday morning in far north Georgia, but only minimal snow accumulation is currently expected. Otherwise, no hazardous weather is expected through Sunday.
