Advance voting for August runoff starts Monday

PRESS RELEASE

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — Advance voting for the Aug. 11 General Primary Runoffs will be offered weekdays beginning Monday, July 20 through Friday, August 7. The two runoffs will be for the Democratic and Republican Primary for US Congressional District 9 and the Republican Primary for State House District 9.

There is no countywide runoff election on Aug. 11. Only voters registered in US Congressional District 9 and State House District 9 are eligible to vote in the runoff. A map of the voters impacted can be found here and the Aug. 11 Voter Information Guide can be found here.

Registered voters in the affected districts can take advantage of advance voting at the following locations during the dates/times provided:

Forsyth County Voter Registration and Elections Office (1201 Sawnee Dr.)
– Monday through Friday, July 20 to Aug. 7, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
– Saturday, Aug. 1, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Hampton Park Library (5345 Settingdown Rd.)
– Saturday, Aug. 1, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
– Monday through Friday, Aug. 3 to Aug. 7, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The following eight Election Day precincts are affected by the US Congressional District 9 Runoff.

Three of the precincts have only a portion of their voters represented by US Congressional District 9. Visit the My Voter Page at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov for information on your assigned US Congressional District.

03 Browns Bridge: Central Park Recreation Center (only a portion of voters assigned to this precinct)

04 Chestatee: Atlanta Cricket Fields (all voters assigned to this precinct)

05 Coal Mountain: Coal Mountain Park Community Building (all voters assigned to this precinct)

06 Crossroads: Hampton Park Library (all voters assigned to this precinct)

16 Otwell: First Baptist Cumming (only a portion of voters assigned to this precinct)

27 Concord: Concord Baptist Church (all voters assigned to this precinct)

37 Sawnee: County Parks and Recreation Operations Center (only a portion of voters assigned to this precinct)

The following two Election Day precincts are affected by the State House District 9 Runoff. Both precincts have only a portion of their voters represented by State House District 9. Visit the My Voter Page at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov for information on your assigned State House District.

15 Heardsville: Sawnee Mountain Park Community Building

27 Concord: Concord Baptist Church
The eight polling places listed above will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, Aug. 11, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Please note that Advance Voting is only available at the Forsyth County Voter Registration and Elections Office as well as the Hampton Park Library during the times noted above. Also note, there is no voting of any kind the Monday prior to any election.
