Cumming man charged with aggraveted assault, aggravated battery and cruelty to children

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. – A 45-year-old Cumming man was arrested today (July 10) on two counts of false imprisonment, aggravated assault with a gun, aggravated battery and cruelty to children following a domestic incident at 6515 Mountain Vista Court.
At approximately 6:55 p.m. Thursday, Forsyth County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 caller who advised a female and juvenile that reside in the house had exited and are at a neighbor’s home. The caller identified the man as Stephan Reynolds and indicated that he had several weapons in the home.
The Forsyth County SWAT team was activated when Mr. Reynolds would not come out of the home. After several hours, the SWAT team was able to locate Mr. Reynolds inside of the home. He was in close proximity to an AR-15 rifle at the time of his arrest.
Reynolds was handcuffed and transported to the Forsyth County Jail where he is being held without bond.
