Board of Commissioners will take a time out on Election Day for work session

FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — It will be business as usutl when the Board of Commissioners meets in a work session today (ELECTION DAY) at 2 p.m. in the County Administration Building, 110 East Main Street in Cumming.
The agenda items to be considered include:
- Approval of the Ten Year Solid Waste Plan – Manager of Environmental Programs, Department of Recycling and Solid Waste
- Approval of a Subgrant Agreement with the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) to procure services for the Forsyth County Comprehensive Transportation Plan Update with authorization for the Chairman to sign and with approval of a Budget Resolution; total cost of the Project is $625,000.00 ($500,000.00 in Federal Funding with $125,000.00 Local Match (budgeted).
- The Georgia Transportation Infrastructure Bank (GTIB) Grant with authorization for the Chairman to sign to receive the approved funding in the amount of $750,000.00 for the Coal Mountain Connector Project from the State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA) and with approval of a Budget Resolution
- Approval to award RFP 22-005-1620 for Mailroom and Copy Services for the Department of Public Facilities to More Business Solutions in the not to exceed amount of $119,039.50;
- Approval to purchase thirty-two (32) RPZ Boxes with associated Backflow Preventers and Hoses for the Cross Connection Control team as a Sole Source Purchase through Delta Municipal Supply in the amount of $101,152
- Approval to purchase Lift Station Odor Control Chemicals from Evoqua Water Technologies and Southern Environmental Systems from Evoqua Water Systems in the not to exceed amount of $195,202.00 and from Southern Environmental Systems in the not to exceed amount of $168,594.00 (total amount is $363,796.00)
- Ratification of an Emergency Construction Work Order with Lanier Contracting Company in the not to exceed amount of $210,086.00 for replacement of five (5) 24-inch valves at the Antioch Water Treatment Plant
- Approval of an Indefinite Quantities Construction Work Order with Lanier Contracting Company for Capacity Sharing Improvements at the Antioch Water Treatment Plantin the not to exceed amount of $897,748
- Approval of an Indefinite Quantities Construction Work Order with Lanier Contracting Company for Chemical Carrier Pipe Installation at the Antioch Water Treatment Plant in a not to exceed amount of $329,735
- Approval to award Bid 22-009-3150 to DAF Concrete Inc. provide all labor, materials, and equipment for the construction of the Brannon Road Sidewalk
- (11) Board consideration and approval of Change Order 3 with NOVA Engineering and Environmental for Construction and Special Inspection Testing of the Juvenile Justice Center. Staff Recommendation: approve the in the amount of $8,125.00 (this cost is within the Project Budget of $90,000.00 for inspections); Capital Budget Juvenile Justice Center – Director, Department of Capital Projects
- Approval of Task Order 22-01 with ESG Engineering, Inc. regarding Owner Advisor Services for the Fowler Wastewater Reclamation Facility Return Flow to Lake Lanier Project in the not to exceed amount of $1,016,160.00 – Director, Department of Capital Projects
- Approval of the purchase of 3.12 wetland mitigation credits in the amount of $280,800 to Soque River Mitigation Bank, LLC for the McGinnis Ferry Widening Project
- Possible direction regarding Permit Display Requirement for Short-Term Rentals
- Realignment, and clarification to the boundaries of the Coal Mountain Town Center
- Reappoint of Sarah Pedarre’ as the District 1 Representative to the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) Board of Directors for a five-year term to begin on July 1, 2022 and expire on June 30, 2027
- Reappointment of Terry Hawkins as the Forsyth County Government (non-elected) Representative to the Avita Community Partners Board of Directors for a three-year term to begin on July 1, 2022 and expire on June 30, 2025
- Adoption of a Resolution regarding the appointment of David Mancuso to serve as the District 4 Representative on the Forsyth County Board of Assessors for a three-year term to begin on June 1, 2022 and expire on May 31, 2025
- Reappointment of Kathy Thomas as the District 4 Representative to the Library Board of Trustees for a four-year term to begin on July 1, 2022 and expire on June 30, 2026 – County Manager
- Reappointment of Christy Winters as the District 5 Representative to the Library Board of Trustees for a four-year term to begin on July 1, 2022 and expire on June 30, 2026 – County Manager
- Adoption of a proposed Second Amended to Agreement for Sale of Realty with Mike and Kim Domenicone regarding County’s acquisition of Tax Parcels 058-023 and 059-010, approximately 39.24 acres at 5890 Polo Fields Parkway/6045 Majors Road for $7.5 million, to add assignment and allocation provisions requested by the sellers and to extend the transaction closing deadline.
